ODIX Hardware Wallet
Your keys, created and kept offline, in a device built to protect them.
Hardware wallet
Decentralised hardware wallet
Most wallets have two single points of failure.
Most wallets keep your private key in one place, then ask you to back it up on paper that can be lost, stolen or damaged just as easily. Lose either and your assets are gone for good.
ODIX X1 makes your assets resilient.
ODIX X1 splits your key into five encrypted parts with Shamir's Secret Sharing and keeps each on separate tamper-resistant hardware: the X1 device and four X1 Cards. Only you hold them.
Lose a part? Not a problem.
Five parts protect your assets, but you only need two to sign. Lose up to three and you can still get back in with the remaining two.
With built‑in protection against theft.
Even if someone gets hold of two parts, your PIN encrypts every one of them, so they still can't be used.
But that's not all.
Cards that never update, an authenticity check at setup and up to four wallets on one device. Keep scrolling to see more.
No single point of failure
One key. Five parts. Any two to sign.
When you create a wallet, its private key is split into five encrypted parts with Shamir's Secret Sharing. One part stays on the X1 device and four go onto separate X1 Cards that you keep in different places. To sign, tap any one card on the device.
One on the X1 device and four on X1 Cards, so no single item holds your key.
The device plus any one card is enough. Lose up to three parts and you still have access.
Every part is encrypted with your PIN, so two stolen parts are still useless.
Inside
Two kinds of hardware. One job.
The X1 device does the computing. The X1 Cards do the keeping. Splitting the two means no single piece ever holds your whole key.
Dual-chip architecture
A main microcontroller handles every operation offline, while a separate secure element authenticates the device and protects its encryption keys.
Bank-grade smartcards
Four NFC cards with the same class of secure chip used in payment cards. Each holds one encrypted part of your key and is checked against your PIN before it shares anything.
Security
Layer upon layer of protection
Every part of the design assumes something could go wrong, and plans for it.
True randomness
Keys start from 256 bits of entropy produced by certified true random number generators in both chips.
Character PIN
An alphanumeric PIN encrypts all five parts. Repeated wrong guesses lock the wallet for longer each time.
Checked at setup
The device and every card carry unique factory keys and are verified before first use, so tampering in transit is detected.
Chips that can't be swapped
The microcontroller and secure element are paired at the factory, so neither can be replaced with a malicious part.
Cards that never update
Firmware updates only reach the device. The cards holding your key parts can never be changed.
Independently reviewed
The underlying hardware wallet design passed a third-party security audit by Keylabs.
Everyday use
Simple to use. Hard to lose.
Strong security shouldn't mean a complicated life. Here's what the ODIX Hardware Wallet does for you.
Wallets in one device
Create up to four independent wallets, each with its own key, for savings, spending or long-term holdings.
Of coins and tokens
Send, receive and track a wide range of assets from one app.
For your other wallets
Keep the recovery phrases of up to four other BIP39 wallets, split and protected the same way.
Backups needed
Your key is already split across the device and cards, so there's no recovery sheet to hide. You can still view it if you choose.
Desktop platforms
Manage everything in the ODIX desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux.
Lost parts
Lost a card or the device? Replace it and carry on, as long as any two parts remain.

You hold the keys
Self-custody means full control, and full responsibility. A few things to keep in mind.
ODIX cannot see, store or recover your private keys. To sign, you need two of the five parts, the X1 device and one X1 Card, and your PIN. If fewer than two of the five parts remain, or you forget your PIN, your assets may not be recoverable.
Keep your X1 Cards in separate, safe places. Never share your PIN, and never photograph your cards or any recovery phrase.
The value of digital assets can go up or down. Cryptoassets held in a hardware wallet are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Buy only from the official ODIX store, check that the packaging is sealed, and complete the authenticity check when you first set up the device.
Frequently Asked Questions
A hardware wallet that keeps your private keys offline. Your key is split between the X1 device and four X1 Cards, so no single item ever holds it.
The X1 device, any one of your X1 Cards and your PIN. Tap the card on the device, confirm on the screen and you're done.
Your key is split into five parts and only two are needed. As long as two parts remain, you can replace the lost item and carry on.
Your PIN encrypts every part of your key and ODIX cannot reset it. Repeated wrong guesses lock the wallet for longer each time, so keep your PIN somewhere safe.
Yes. The device is BIP39 compatible, so you can import an existing recovery phrase or create a new wallet, up to four wallets in total.
Thousands of coins and tokens, managed through the ODIX desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux.
Each device and card set is given unique keys at the factory. They are verified when you first set up the device, so any tampering is detected.
Updates only reach the X1 device. The X1 Cards that hold your key parts can never be updated.
